Minecraft focuses on allowing the player to explore, interact with, and modify a dynamically-generated map made of one-cubic-meter-sized blocks. The environment includes blocks as well as mobs, plants, and other items. You can mine for ore, fight hostile mobs, and create new blocks and tools by obtaining various resources in the game.
Open-ended game mechanics allow players to create structures, creations, and artwork on multiple multiplayer servers or their own single-player maps. Redstone circuits are used for remote actions and logic computations, minecarts, tracks, and a mysterious underground world called the Nether. The ultimate goal of the game, which is completely optional, is to travel to an alternate dimension called "The End" and defeat the Ender dragon.
